UPSC IFS Exam Eligibility Criteria 2016.

A degree in Engineering from a recognised University or eqivalent.

The qualified candidates in the IFS examination should now had to appear for the IFS mains examination for which they are required to fill in an application form prescribed by UPSC which can be downloaded from the official website of UPSC.

UPSC IFS 2016 Exam will be held on 7th August 2016. The answer key will be available now.

Applicants, who cannot get a Centre of their choice due to ceiling, will be required to choose a Centre from the remaining ones..

IFS Main Exam 2014 consists of 6 papers in that 2 compulsory and 4 optional subjects. The envelope should be addressed to ‘Application for Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination’..

Candidates will be required to write an essay in English.

Paper I - General English	300 Marks
Paper II - General Knowledge	300 Marks
Paper III, IV, V & VI - Any two subjects to be selected from the list of optional subjects set out below. Each subject will have two papers.	200 Marks for each paper
Total marks for written examination	1400 Marks
